Looking for a 55 gal galvy barrel

Anyone got or know where I could get a 55 gallon galvanized barrel, new or used, as long as it holds water & won't rust. Can't use poly.

McMaster = Macmaster-Carr supply catalogue

677 = price

304SS = grade of stainless steel

Why does it have to be galvy.....Whats wrong with plastic if its just for holding water (eel tank??)

Dad, I'm a mason, Use it for water on the job, strap a barrel heater to the outside so it won't ice up, plastic melts, steel rusts.

Clogs, Thanks for decoding, stainless is to rich for me.

teleman 12-02-2007 02:23 PM

Dad, thought maybe some commercial guy may have one, so indirectly, its fishin related.

you can get a stainless drum rolled out and welded for less than buying a 55 gallon drum-
there is also a place in pawtucket that deals in used drums and i am positive they have stainless ones, but I completel forget the name of the business... :huh:
