WANTED
COMMERCIAL Plastic bathroom board in small pieces..the stuff you see in gas stations and convenience stores in bathrooms...grainy surface on front and flat on the back. They use it on walls etc...It's about 1/8" thick and cuts easily. I need small pieces under 2x2 etc.
I got some of this stuff at an auction and found it's pisser for making machine guards and my supply is about gone. I would imagine a sheet of this stuff is $$ but I'm looking for scrap stuff if someone uses this in their job save me some and I'll pay you to ship it to me |
Salty, its FRP (fiberglass reinforced plastic) panel. You can get a 4x8 sheet at lowes for under $30 bucks.
|
Nope straight plastic no fiberglass in this stuff.
|
polypropylene...
another good material to make guards is polycarbonate (lexan) which you can find scraps for cheap $$ or free at your local glass house... |
could you cut a cheapo kitchen cutting board to size?
|
Leptar that's something to try too thanks for that idea! The polypropylene might work, I think I can melt and bend that stuff too. Worth a shot for $3.50
fishsmith it's not just the cutting it has to be bent too. I heat a aluminum bar with a blowtorch and form the piece over the bar. Not sure I could do that with anything heavier than this stuff. |
not sure of your time frame but from time to time I can get scraps, they use it in commercial kitchens and mop sink closets, they're not using it where I am at now but will keep u in mind
|
10-4 Bob thanks much. Pieces can be small like 15" and under. Will trade for wood :hee:
|
I can tell you one thing.Polycarbonate is a heck of a lot tougher than polypropylene.
