Interesting blog for you nature lovers. My wifes cousin is in the Navy studying to be a doctor, flight surgeon, and is stationed in Antarctica for the last few months studying Emperor penguins. Beautiful photos, even one with a fish in a seals mouth in a hole in the ice, which I am sure Slip will love. Pretty interesting stuff. He is Matt in the blog. P.

I had an uncle that was an air force pilot who landed on the ice pre-base structures. He said they put up a parachute tent with heaters underneath it to keep it expanded. When they had to change they did so inside thier sleeping bags. Great pics, nice blog.
