i guess on the bright side, she's keeping the baby and owning up to the responsibility.

follow-through with good parenting and a lifetime of love and commitment ... it remains to be seen.

problem is that teens who have "jobs" as celebrities think that they're already adults and can do whatever the hell they please. a parent's influence is weakened as a result.

So, none of you had sex when you were a teen, you waited until you were married , right?
I am not saying it is a good thing, but she is taking responsibility for her poor choice to have unprotected sex.
It is sad, if anything. I do not envy the path she has chosen, good luck to her and more so her baby.

Chris....and other kiddies in case you missed it......she has been living with her boyfriend.....that she met at church??? I am guessing most of us, that our folks would not have "let" us move in with our girlfriends at 16???? Totally irresponsible and I point the finger first at "Mom" and I use the term loosely and the absentee Father!!! One thing I found sadly amusing was the news saying that the father was her "long time" boyfriend.
Exactly how long is "long time"? As long as it takes to take your clothes off?
What's even more repulsive is that the media is treating this twit like she's a mega-superstar, instead of the common trailer trash that she apparently is.
Being from that far south, I'm surprised that "boyfriend" isn't a cousin or other relative.

I have to admit that my wife was 16 when I got her Pregnant.
it was the 70's and all that free love crap but we should have known better, it was a tough road for sure but it made us better people for it, he turned 28 today and came over and is in the downstairs playing X-box hockey. Bottom line is you make the best of what you are dealt, and take responsibility for you actions.
