The Pubes of the 110th Congress
Not surprisingly, I did not expect the media conglomerate to cover this so...
The Republican Senate minority today filibustered an omnibus budget bill, setting a modern-day record for blocking the most legislation during a congressional session. A new report released today by the Campaign for America's Future details the 62 times conservatives have used the filibuster to block legislation (or force modification of bills) in the first session of the 110th Congress. In just the first year of this two-year Congress, their use of the filibuster in the Senate topped the previous record, reached during the entire 107th Congress. courtesy of - http://home.ourfuture.org/media/reco...ervatives.html |
But I thought the filibuster was a terrible abuse of minority power? A slap in the face of the will of the people?
I seem to remember that being the case from 2002-2006. -spence |

The point is about Sen. Frist not that long ago nearly in crocodile tears over the Democrat's threat of a filibuster and how due to his obligation to the American people would have to use the Nuclear option to break their stonewalling. And all the while Bush passed every piece of crap the Republicans sent his way. What a bunch of hypocrites. -spence |
Pubes? How typically vile.
