help with line

just got a new setup today for plugging and wondering what knot u use when u put line on ur surf spin reel

I use an improved clinch knot.....never failed me yet! Simple and effective!

Sorry....missed your meaning.

To tie line to the spool arbor I usually take two turns around the spool, tie a uniknot, and slide it down tight. If you haven't loaded line on a spinning reel before, check with someone who has. Depending on the size of the line spool, line twist can mess you up.

I also make two turns on the arbor and use a uni-knot, best reel knot ever

Use whatever knot is easiest for you to tie, and which will snug down to the arbor when you tighten it. If a fish takes you down to the knot, it really isn't going to matter much--you'll never see that fish :hs:

FWIW, I use a uni-knot.
