Any time i can find solitude alone in the surf or woods, quiet time with my wife,
spending time with my Grandkids, sunrise, sunset,laughing with friends and being
around animals.

Music. This time of year is tough for me though. I hate these short grey days.

Walking in the door (like i did last night) and getting a hug from the wife and kids after being away on the ship. PRICELESS!!

Summer: Wading the surf on a quiet star-lit night with only the sound of surf and breaking fish.
Winter: finding a quiet pond to set up icefishing traps and pulling out the folding chair, a thermos of spicy cocoa, and having multiple flags all afternoon (happend a couple of years back).

my kids. 3 1/2 and 5. They make me smile with every word they say and everything they do.

from the bank watched my oldest son fly fish waist deep for the first time and catch 6 or more trout (i was coaching). my grand son (4yrs) makes me smile all the time.
