L.L.Bean in Mansfield was a madhouse today
 

Walked into the store and saw these two huge lines. I thought they were getting ready to do that dance (conga) where you hold onto the person in front of you. It took me 15 minutes to relax knowing I had to stand in one of those lines to pay for anything I might buy. One line feeding into six registers was the return line. It had to have about 130 in in it. The register (to pay for things line) line only had about fifty people in it. It took 45 minutes to get to the register. I never worked so hard in my life to give someone money. Plenty of help (guides is what management calls them) in the store, and pleasant also. Nothing like Freeport, but if your a Bean afficianado it'll do.

They've been cutting staff hours also. This store management totally underestimated the demand.

The one in Burlington was the same way when it first opened.

I was told last night someone walked into work and literally there was a return pile of material over their head.
