Recently purchased an old Lathe (Delta Rockwell gap Lathe) that I have done a bunch of work on. Thought I would share some pictures of the process..

Ran new electrical
new bearings new motor Forward/reversing switch pulleys prime/paint Most everything was seized up or sticky. It came out of a school in Pennsylvania |
now thats is sexy.

The speed adjust lever appears to be in the "slowest position" allowing the sheave to be open. I'll bet that as you applu pressure to the handle and move it clockwise the sheave will begin to close ans increase the spindle speed.

Yes it does remind me also of High school wood shop class. Nice machine have fun with it. Hope to see many nice plugs from that lathe.
