But I once had a full scholarship to Art School at the Worcester Museum of Fine Arts ( do they even have that program there anymore?)
This was a drawing I did for Riverview B&T in 1989 for there tide chart. |
That is quite advanced work for a student, Flap. I married a RISD Grad while she was still a student. I loved art school. and it's bennies.....
|
Ticonderoga #2 soft lead and a couple tissues will get that effect.
|
And everone wondered why you always had a dirty finger:laughs::laughs: Nice work for an student! What did you use as a model?
|
Steve .... very nice. :uhuh:
Not too late to do some surf, fishing, and shore scenes now. Though I`m still waiting for the book so finish that first ok. |

On the Iron of America, as we build this great land of ours. Or the shores of NE, and the playgrounds of the NShore, as my daughter and I travel within the shadows of our forefathers. Cain't get it to post the pic, dammmmmit!! |

|
Nope, I took that pic with a throwaway kodak.
That was my bolt-up podnah for that job, Chappie, who makes some kick-ass jellies from Maine's best blue, straw, and blackberries that he hand selects each year from just the right patch, at just the right times  :uhuh: :uhuh: . Thanks for trying, Skitter. Prolly gotta zip them or somethin'??? |
OK, so now I'm really glad that Mike couldn't make my
drawing happen. that is some good stuff, Flaptail! Well Done, , well DONE!! |
That is a nice drawing . Hard to find a good striper drawing.
|
Geeezzzzzus, once you had talent, now you suck. Age is a biitch. But don't fret, I'll bring some pencils and paper and you can practice drawing pictures of all the big bass I catch next summer......I'm always happy to school ya. :D

Lately I don't think I can draw a stick figure correctly. I hope your right about those big bass George! ( Though mostly they will be mine but it would make a nice sketch of you on shore with your headlight going and you swearing away as you pick out the line caught in on itself after snapping off a needle you just made on your first cast with it!):kewl: |
great art
your extremely talented
and that would make a great t-shirt iron on or an Avatar too hope your feeling better now about fairyland :btu: http://i25.photobucket.com/albums/c66/ravenob1/flap.jpg |
Can you put that on my chest, without your name of course. lol
|
Flap that is awsome work! :kewl:

Flap
I remember that issue, because I really thought the drawing was awesome. I believe the caption said Bass swimming in the rocks at pasque. It was a October or November issue and Peros wrote the article |

This was a reject from that issue. It went horribly wrong.
|
Very nice!
Flap - I need a bass chasing a needle for the book. ??? DZ |
Start up again - you can make it whatever you like. Send a few off coupled with your best writing to Gray's Sporting Journal - they've been running saltwater stories more often. Very nice by the way...

Only a slight criticism, Flap, as I could never begin to touch yer talent....
The striper's eye looks more human or deerlike than fishy, is that what you were referring to? The rest of it looks GREAT!! Excellent attention to DETAIL, bro! |

A few of my friends went to school there. Great program. I spent a bunch of time there back in the 1960s. Great small museum and the school was very well respected.
