Beach Access
Does anyone know what the deal is on the Intertidal Zone in RI. I was in Warwick this morning and there seem to be some people who have a wire rope across the beach with no trespassing signs well below the high tide mark. At the oppisite end of the beach there is a no trespassing sign obiously intended for people who stray off the beach maintained by the City of Warwick. I was under the impression that as long as you accessed the beach from a legal right of way you were within your rights to be in the intertidal zone.
Parking, now there is an entirely different subject........... |
FishPart,
Great question and one that I wonder about myself. It is my understanding that they can not obstruct in any manor anything below the high tide mark. But I may be wrong though.......You might want to call DEM and ask them. If the homeowners are in the wrong, get their name and address and turn them into DEM... |
Fishpart - a spot near my house? E-mail or PM the particulars...
