It ain't gonna be pretty today. Feds just slashed 3/4 of a point to try to slow this day down.

S&P futures hit their bottom limit in overnight trading (-70 points).

Freakin Dow futures were down something nutzo like 650 points overnight.

Fasten your chinstraps, gonna be an interestingly ugly day even with the fed lowering federal fund and discounts rates this morning.

Farkin' Fed = Socialist rescue for Wall Street! (it won't work).

the punchline, buy low sell high is one of the most fundamental things that NO ONE gets right. the market is through the roof like teh late 90s, everyone is buying, stocks go down , everyone sells. stupidity.
rebalance your 401ks, invest for the long term. buy low, sell high

the trend is your friend, until the end, when it starts to bend. :angel:

ah, the VIX has spiked over 30 and the plain vanilla equity put-call ratio is showing some modestly bullish signs.

s&p futures are down 20 points right now ... so we may have a little bit left to run down before we have a true (short-lived) bear-market "relief rally."

Looks like the landing at IwoJima again today. I hope the Marines can make a comeback.
