Creatures of habit become distressed/perplexed at any change in routine, thats all. Good luck and have fun Eben with your spare time.

BigFish 01-23-2008 12:41 PM

Who is Bob Nielson?:tooth:

striperman36 01-23-2008 12:46 PM

I take it that surfhogs will now be made in China

The Iceman 6 01-23-2008 12:47 PM

Congratulations....

RIJIMMY 01-23-2008 01:11 PM

who is bob nielson?

RIROCKHOUND 01-23-2008 01:16 PM

Bob was formally the fishing manager of Wildwood Outfitters, and is quite knowledgeable. Congrats Bob!!

RIJIMMY 01-23-2008 01:23 PM

ok - well good luck Bob
Eb - nice work and product, on to a new endeavor or just spending more time fishing?

Gobi 01-23-2008 01:38 PM

CONGRATULATIONS BOB!

I wish you all the best. You'll get a few bucks from me that would have otherwise gone across the street. (FYI for those that don't know Bob, when he was at Wildwood, he provided a superior level of service and knowledge. For what it's worth, I spent a lot more money there than I would have if he wasn't there.)

Good luck to both of you. You did a good job developing the product Eben - it must have been tough with two businesses.

MrHunters 01-23-2008 02:00 PM

woh.

congrats on the sale and the creation of a fine product.

It was really tough and I struggled to find the time to do both and fish..

As stated, bob was the manager of the fishing Dept at wildwood outfitters and did a great job with customer service. Because of the great job he did there, i thought he would be the right person to hand the torch to.

I seriously doubt bob will have them made in China :hihi:

neither. More time with my son

RIJIMMY 01-23-2008 03:23 PM

excellent, thats the most important job in the wiorld. soon you'll be able to do that and fish together!

slow eddie 01-23-2008 03:26 PM

bob n. always had the time to locate obscure things that i just had to have 2 days ago. if he runs the "hogs" the way he took care of everyone in the store, the best is yet to come. nebe just wanted to check out the strollers on main st. anyway. nothing wrong with that thou.

Does that mean my New Surfhog Thong is a collectors Item......I'll have to sell it in the Classifieds for some quick cash.

Its only Slightly Used :hee:

bobby 01-23-2008 08:16 PM

Thanks for the kind words guys. I can guarantee that the hogs will not be made in China. "Rubber baits handpoured in the Ocean State", a litttle bit of a new tag line. I thank Eben for the opportunity to keep the hog alive and I will start pouring as soon as the rubber arrives .

Pt.JudeJoe 01-23-2008 08:51 PM

Good Luck with your new company Bob!!!! For those of you who don't know him, Bob is a first class guy and knows fishing...he'll do fine. I hope you get your rubber soon Bob.

DON'T WASH IT... I"LL TAKE IT! :yak6:

SirWinston 01-23-2008 10:50 PM

Congrats to Bob and Eben both!!

If Bob gives it anywhere near the attention that he gave all of us when he was at Wildwood then the 'Hogs will have gone to a good sty (ahem - home) :bl:

Just keep the 'pleasure sticks' above board and G rated, Bob!!
And for E.. Nebe - I hear you on the family call. I'm just going to have to see how to balance things with my clan soon to increase. My two currently are already asking when the season starts!!

Cheers to all.

JohnR 01-24-2008 08:00 AM

Eben, good luck for some refreshing time with the boy. Balance and time is hard to balance :fishslap:

Bob, congrats and good luck to you! I think we have met (if you are who I am thinking :hee: ) and you are a standup guy. If you are not who I'm thinking, you're still OK in my book as a lot of people I seriously respect say that you are first class person all the way :btu:

Hey Bob, good luck with the new business. I spoke to Eben yesterday and told him he should be proud of the fact that he developed a fish catching lure company and sold it to a good guy. Although we have not met, Eben and I are best friends and he says you are one of the best. That's all the endorsement I need to hear.

Nebe 01-24-2008 11:47 AM

Bob is one of the best and that is why I offered him 'the keys to the shop' :hihi:
I feel like surfhog is a child of mine and I wanted to make sure that my child would go into the right hands. I never advertised that it was for sale, infact i just called bob up one night and told him it was his if he wanted it..

I have no worries about this transition and I am sure that my vendors are going to be happy as well.

Also i thougth i would throw it out there that Bob has the molds for everything including the ever so rare 14 inch pleasure stick. The myth and legend of this thing is true. :vamp:

good luck Bob Im going to disney world :bo:

MakoMike 01-24-2008 01:34 PM

Congrats to both Bob and Evan!

Gunpowder 01-24-2008 03:59 PM

Good luck with everything Bob and congrats Eben... I got some of ure Hogs!

BassDawg 01-24-2008 04:17 PM

Good luck and congrats to both Eben and Bob.

Sounds as though we are in for a seamless transition,
and thanks to Eben for creating such sweet rubber.

Can't wait to see how Bob will impact Surf Hog Lures, and
I know some COWS who'll be waiting as well  .............
