Ho-Hum
Last time I went to one of his presentations, he bored us with talking about his own greatness and then told us he was smart to be talking about sandworms while the rest of us (dummies) had to work. Did I learn anything? Yeah- that I won't be fishing with Frank anytime soon. Ed Mitchell writes a much more infomative book, while aimed at flyfishers, he gives info that applies to any fishing in the suds.

This probably has no connection, but you made me think of it. My favorite quote from my main man Buddy Cianci, "be careful, the toe you step on today could be connected to the ass you kiss tomorrow."

S77 - That's a good line....
Well, for better or for worse, for right or for wrong, he kinda stepped in dog doo with that one... Personally, I've enjoyed most of his book writing, but have not been overwhelmed by him on the show circuit (well, I thought of him as a fishing celebrity when I FIRST got in the suds). His wife seems like a real class act however... He can also be rude for no reason at times. Part may be for show, part may be for grumpy old man, I dunno.... |
mikecc... thank you for making me spit up water all over my keyboard.
classic line!! |
:D :D
