I will add this - I am working on some new & different ideas for seminars. Some of the traditional stuff, and some newer twists. In fact, I will be contacting some S-B'ers with some ideas :hee:

for all interested in this question....

One Seminar Room is being sponsored by On The Water MAgazine and Television and the schedule is in the process of being finalized. Info will be coming out soon.

Another Seminar Room is b eing Sponsored by....www.Striped-Bass.com and this schedule will be announced soon.

Bonus bonus Bonus attractions are in their final stages and if I were planning on going I would be watching the MSBA web site every few days for info....

Easy directions to MSBA EXPO at Stonehill March 1 and 2

Stonehill College is at exit 17 B on Route 24 (go west on Rt 123).

You can get there by going south on Route 24 from Boston area.

You can pick up 24 from the south from 495 either from Cape Cod or from 95 and south or west by picking up 24 from 495 exit 7A.

Our RI friends can get there by exit 6A from 95 to 495 South then &A (RT 24) (a few of us old timers know the way from 95 to 140 to123)

Stonehill is also easy access from the West on 495, or from the Cape, or from RI, from Boston and from anywhere on the South Shore. The facility is absolutely fantastic and a great place for our EXPO and I expect all the speakers to be informative and as usual our vendors will have great deals. The Grand Raffle is great as well.

I am really looking forward to the Striped-bass.com speakers.

How about the seminar presenters culminating in a panel discussion on a set of topics with audience participation?

BasicPatrick 02-07-2008 11:33 PM

Cow tamer....we did a Boston Harbor panel last year and I think you will find at least on epanel int he schedule this year...something should be announced very very soon

JohnR 02-11-2008 07:52 AM

Not 100% complete yet but almost;

Here is a Partial S-B's List of Seminars in No Particular Order. Times and specific topics are still being worked on:

Dennis Zambrotta - Plug Fishing
Capt Bruce Macomber - Light Tackle Sharking
Jeff Lopez - Kayaking
DJ Muller

I have a few more I'm waiting on confirmation on.

Other seminar settings - SB How To & Plug Building.

Any requests for S-B seminars?

BasicPatrick 02-12-2008 02:24 PM

There will be two Seminar rooms (one sponsored by S-B.com and one by MSBA) plus On The Water MAgazine and TV will sponsor an ongoing interactive how to area where anglers can have a hands on learning experience in subjects such as reel repair, rigging soft plastics, rigging for tuna etc.

The MSBA Seminar line up will be announced in the coming days

Rockport24 02-12-2008 03:05 PM

this already sounds like it's gonna be awesome. An S-B seminar series? how cool is that!

Just saw the "Family Friendly" menu choices and prices. "Dogs" as low at $1.50, Cheeseburgers at $3.40. Subs $4.50 to $5.00. Sodas $1.50. Best meal prices around. Bring the family make an afternoon of it. Or come for lunch watch seminars all day, have dinner and buy some great gear from the vendors. Or get away from the family all day and havea great time as well and get ready to catch that 40 (or 50 or more pounder).

Bill

John,
Could you explain the "one on one" a bit more?
As in who will be speaking.

JohnR 02-26-2008 09:21 PM

The One on One series will actually have several S-B members displaying various methods from the beach to the ditch to tuna to the rocks... ;)

Instead of the traditional seminar you'll be able to go around and talk with people that representing a method that you are interestd in.

Still looking for volunteers - want to do a little Boston Harbor Ronnie?
