I was on a lake in Kingston NH (which is only 10 minutes over the Mass border) all weekend and the Ice was 18" thick. While we were out there someone actually landed a Helicopter on it....was pretty cool.

They are driving trucks, snow mobiles and quads on the lakes in Burrillville RI. Over 18" of ice.

Even central to nothern CT has plentyy of ice. I was on a few ponds yesterday near the coast which had 3-5 inches of black ice. A little thin , but it was fine.
