That yellow one took a ridiculous number of fish. It was the first plug out of the bag every day that I stayed thru dawn. Can't believe I never lost it...
And some replacements... There are 8 " right around 3 oz... |
You fished the snot out of those plugs,,,,

That's an interesting look with the flat edge. Does it change the action much?
|
AH has a new plug just like it.. you'll see them at the show.

Always like seeing plugs that have proven themselves. Did you pull the wire to refinish it.........or because you forgot how you weighted it?
|
I just needed to see what I had used for a tail weight.
Usually I put one of every new shape I make aside and hang it in the rack with the weights it used, but I forgot to on these. That yellow one will go into the rack for reference... It is kind of interesting to see how you tweak a design from year to year. The new ones for this year have a little more meat to them and have a little larger flat plane on the belly than the originals did. |
Same happens to me. I need to make myself take notes. Threw away a prototype needle that was working well last year. Thought it would be easy to replicate, but I'm now on my third try and it still isn't right.
