Can anyone recommend a clearcoat...
Anyone use a clearcoat/epoxy that they just dip and don't have to turn? I have Etex but don't want to use it until I build or buy something to turn them. Just looking for something easy that will hold up reasonably well and look good. Thankyou, Will.

Sure. It is the stuff in the can that looks like the Holy Grail.

You can use the e-tex, use a foam brush, then hang the plug in a warm area flipping it end over end every 15 mins or so for an hour or so.
Should come out fine. You'll learn alot by doing a search like SK said. |
spar varnish. 3 to 5 layers. If you thin the varnish, you can seal with it too :D
|
I use e-tex and just hang it, small end down. Burst the bubbles with a propane torch. I won't change something that works for me.

Thankyou Eben and Jake I'll give both ways a shot.

I tried Spar Varnish once.....came off like jello the second it hit the water!

your loss :hihi:

The secret sauce is decent and simple, just dip and drip dry.
There are so many products you could use your head would spin. |
I use the Devcon 2-ton....don't have to spin but you can only realistically do 1 plug at a time
|
nu lustre 55 - don't need to spin like Etex and not brittle like Devcon
