Plastic to metal adhesive?

I am looking for an adhesive that will allow me to mate a piece of polycarbonate or acrylic to a piece of stainless. The plastic will be supported in a slot, just need to make it stay there, bond . Any one have any good ideas?

How about Duco Cement?

Real snug fit & super glue. Almost impossible to get a perfect bond.

3m double sided tape

if the plastic pc. is sliding into the stainless pc. snuggly.. I'd hit the contacting surfaces with some fine sandpaper then assemble what you're doing, use Zap-a-Gap pink(thin) with the tiny applicator inside the cap and drop it in till it works it's way between the surfaces to be glued, hit it with a bit of accelerator and you'll be solid and the job will be neat...if there's wiggle room use Zap green and accelerator....my two cents...good luck...

What new work of engineering genius is the Professor working on now? :hihi:

How about West System epoxy with a filler like West 403 Microfiber mixed in so it is almost like a paste.

It is a pretty small part so i may try the zap a gap. Pretty tight fit too. Thanks for the ideas.

PM,

LocTite makes tons of different super glue adhesives. So many it will make your head spin. Zap a Gap will probably do the trick as stated above.

Is it possible to drill a cross hole through the slot?
Insert the plastic piece with adhesive on it. Then add small amout of adhesive to each side hole. It will allow for mechanical bond as well.
