I'd pay a couple bucks more to try them but the weight on the 4" is 1/4 oz. vs. 1/2 oz. for a normal 4' wild eyes. that to me is a turn off. i wonder if the listed weight is correct.

I've been wanting to pick up one of storms new eels. They look like they could do some damage, just wonder what kind of hooks they're rigged with?

Rip Runner 02-25-2008 01:34 PM

Looks like you might get less bluefish bite-offs.

I was thinking the same thing. If the 6" is listed at 2 oz., the 4" is probably more likely 1.25 oz. I'm guessing that it's a typo on the Cabelas website.
I've had good luck in the spring with the regular ones, so I'll probably pick up some of the new ones with the spinner and give em' a try.

I don't know if that's neccesary either, but then again, a $20 custom plug probably isn't necessary to catch fish either, but we still love em!
Whenever something kind of new comes out it makes me wonder if fish would take it on those days when they just won't take anything. who knows!

MarshCappa 02-25-2008 03:02 PM

They look good. I'll try them out this year. Blues have bit off all the tails on my current selection!

LeCounts1099 02-25-2008 05:16 PM

That Storm Co. really cracks me up!

Ever inventing new shapes & sizes & colors & styles for all their rubber... tweaking this, & tweaking that, Suspending... not... paddle- tail, this tail, that tail... :beat: :hf1: :spin:

But all the while, they can't find decent Striper (& big Blue)- tough hooks/ construction for their lures to be built on!

I'll just keep on rigging my own Shads & plastics on my X- heavy Jig Heads & hooks, & saving $ all the while, thanks! :smokin::boots:

That thing looks like it's screaming "calling all bluefish" as if blues don't like storms enough as it is! That thing doesn't do it for me, personally.. cool idea though

Rockport24 02-27-2008 12:45 PM

is it me or is this spinner blade thing becoming more popular in all plugs lately? does it really work???

Pt.JudeJoe 02-27-2008 02:16 PM

Tony "Cee" has been putting blades on his metals and other lures for years.....yes they work. :humpty:That's why he told me about putting them on some of my metals.

Rockport24 02-27-2008 02:26 PM

those new ones with the blades look good Joe!
