trolling question

what do you guys use for knots when trolling, bass tuna or otherwise(tying on swivel), went out last year with a guy and he had some sort of doubled leader, never seen anthything like it before, just curious if someone knew what it was or why he was using it

99% of the time Palomar knot
clinch or improved clinch for some situations (flounder, Schoolie bass ect... )

Probably a spider hitch. It doubles the line for added shock absorbtion and is a easy safe knot when using mono in higher pound tests.

Alot of offshore guys use this to replace the bimini twist.

Ronnie good talking to you at the show.
