Sorry for staying on topic.

Bob Hahn - Nothing fancy, they just catch fish.

Also JnSki has a Danny style called Suicidal Swimmer; very sweet.

No, seriously though.

I have many different names. Really no favorite.

But I do have a favorite color.

Yellow. When all else fails I always seem to catch with Yellow.

I like gibbs. I can find them cheap;replace the hooks and they are good to go. My favorite color is only a couple shots of spray paint away.

:kewl: Haven't bought any in years, so I can't speak for the current vintage, but I've caught many good fish on Gibbs Dannys. I liked to drill out the weight, add a larger one (3/8 x 1/2 "), cut off the tail hook (leaving the bucktail) and use 3/0's on the belly. My friend, however, who is a better fisherman than I fishes them right out of the package and does just fine with them the way they come.

I have way less experience than most on this fourm so I can not say my views are definitive but I have caught more fish on a stock blue and white Gibbs Danny than any other plug.

ChiefLinesider 03-16-2008 08:11 PM

Someone else actually remembers Danny Manning! Kansas Jayhawks. 20 odd years ago.

There is a local Ct.fella, that makes 'em, Eric Walsh. And I fish those plugs, and do well.

HookLine&Sinker 03-23-2008 10:36 AM

gibbs

i dont like anything fancy and $20-$25 rms are too mcuh for me to spend on plugs.(parents already thing spendin $12-$15 on gibbs is crazy)

Bronko 03-23-2008 12:22 PM

MAC dannies. Lots of guys flipping them online, I would never sell mine, I fish mine hard. Best danny out there IMO.

Totally forgot about those..
Does the paint still crack and pop off when wet?
Got these along with 8 or so others 2+years ago...
Couple of months before the fish got here....
What a shock when they hit the water... :(
Tried to contact the guy but he never returned any e-mails...
