giant kayak redfish
 

did anyone just see the show on versus about fishing on a budget? the guy went down to Louisiana, rented a kayak, polled himself around sight casting to big redfish. he managed to land a monster redfish(~35lbs) on the fly, all by himself! the thing was taking him out to the gulf of Mexico! pretty impressive...

I saw that show. I was surprised that he said a budget deal and then paid $150 a day to rent the Yak and then paid another $250 for a ride to the fish. The next day he paid a skipper to go fishing at $550 a day. The $ 559 seemed in line, but 150 for the Yak sounded high to me.

His catch was impressive. Riddler could make his fish look small on Joppa Flats. Got Tow?

I wouldn't mind going on a "Nantucket Sleigh ride".

That was insane, one heck of a fish, but on a kayak! Neat show.
