Bow Electric Motor Mounting

Anyone have recommendations for mounting a bow electric on a mskiff?

The 2090 is a rolled edge so I would most likely have to craft a platform to mount the motor. I am looking at the 70 lb riptide. and then mount the 2 batteries under the CC with a cable coming back from the locker underneath the motor.

Should be good with the 70 lb thrust the boat probably loaded is about 3600 lb. on the water including two porly anglers and food.

I have had a riptide 74 with the 64 inch shaft on my LTS 20 Hydra-Sport for five seasons.
I love it, it gets me into a few spots were you don't want to use your outboard:btu:

I have the same hull and although I haven't done it yet I gave it some thought. I was thinking of removing the two chocks and front light and then mounting a half moon shaped plate on top of the rolled edge. Remount the chocks and light and now you have a platform to mounted the trolling motor, all would be removable. Not sure about the batteries, my thinking was to put them in the front locker with a plug-in similiar to the posted picture as there isn't a tunnel below deck from there to the console.

I haven't measured battery height. I just thought that the batteries were too tall to be kept in the locker.

Batteries come in all shapes and sizes but I think they would fit.

I'll spec them out, was interested in the gell deep discharge.

I also have to design the shelf as you discussed. I'll post more as this evolves. I basically want to be able to use the motor for position and to troll at 2 knots.

Here you go.

Is that part of a thread?
I have the bow coaming kit on mine.

Yes it is part of a thread on reel-time.com. Oh, I see the issue with the coaming kit as you have that ridge. I there enough room outside of the ridge ?
