I KNOW it's Big $$$$$.................
but what is MLB's obsession with Japan?
The SOX are at fault too, imho. Big duckets for them as well. i simply doan like the impact it has on the team for the first 20 games, or less. one of the most enjoyable things for me to watch last year was how fast the '07 SOX came out of the chute. Verrrry timely back injury for Beckett. i don't particularily want Pap making the trip either. Lugo can go, maybe he'll get sick and that'll open the door for Lowrie. the travelling is too heavy a burden and it's too early for our pitchers to throw in games that "matter". i could care less if any team plays another game in Japan. what, doan the SOX think they'll sell enuff merch to off-set the $51M? also, who cares about Japanese Bissball? it's a BIGGG deal ova there, they have thier teams and we have ours. i'm with Kipling who said, ".....East is East, and West is West, and never the twain shall meet." |

Baseball is a game anyone can play and business today requires a global economy. It's all about who has the $$$

i'm not talking about East and West in the good old US of A. Rudyard and I were referring to The Orient/Asia as East and The Americas as West. LOVE the rivalaries, especially in the NBA, of when East goes up against the West. This year should be MOST interesting. Hated to see Ray go down with a jammed ankle, he should be okay for the Playoffs, though.............. Tough week coming up for the Celts. Should be a good indicator of where we truly stand????? |
