Top coat

I had a friend who does who does body work squirt a couple plugs with a automotive acrilyc enamel clear coat. I'm curious if anybody has tried this as a top coat? It will be a couple of weeks till I get a chance to test them.

When I was still painting, I'd on occasion sneak a plug into the booth. For home use it's down-right dangerously toxic. Expensive as hell, too. Shiny though...

Jake did you find that it held up well? I thought enamel wasen't flexible enough.

The urethane enamels we used on rubber bumpers( urethane, too, actually) Plenty flexy.
