Price of silver

Every time a silver coin came thru the register at the shop I would put it aside.
I was offered 13 - 14 times Face value .
With the silver market going crazy do you think is it time to cash in.

MIKE:

One night last week I was trying to let go of some of my wifes //[stuff] she saved in her top drawer //
I came a cross a old , light diamond setting that she has broken off one of the clasps ;; I threw it in my pocket ;;
Saturday >> I was riding & I stopped @ the jewerlers where I buy my good gifts ;;
Every single person in there was selling except fot one guy ;;
I gave the girl this setting & she wrote a check for $9;;

There was a woman in there selling her settings & keeping the diamonds ><><><

Mike, it was over $20 as recently as a week ago. I'd hold off if I were you, challenge is to find someone who will give you a fair price. Coins are 90 Ag/10Cu, you shgould be looking for 70% of spot. There were dealers paying 75% of spot for Sterling (92% Ag). For a while gold was over 1000, now it is back in the 900 range.

In a lot of cases, people are unloading stuff they "got" for free so they will settle for 50% of spot price..

My wife buys silver to make her jewelry with. She gets it wholesale for the most part. I hear every week what it is. Last three years has been a hell of a ride.

If its fine silver, disolve it all in nitric acid and distilled water and sell it as silver nitrate.. you'll make much more $$
