Habs Custom Plugs return

1 Attachment(s)
Here are 2 of the 2 oz. needles from the first batch from John Haberek Jr.It's the same animal, built the same way as we did when Habs was doing it ,only his son is at the gun now. Many thanks to Tattoo for his help getting this project going. There will be about 200 or so at the RISAA show 1/2 Fri and the rest Sat.After that they will be sold direct from the Habs website as they become available. Time constraints will not allow for production to be as much as it once was,but Habs Custom Plugs will remain on the surf scene.
John Jr. is a talented young man and as time goes on I am confident he will make his own mark on the surfcasting world. For now we are taking it slow and steady, looking forward to see what develops.

Do you plan on having some sort of limit on how many plugs each person can purchase at the show? I can foresee people trying to buy 20 or so, then putting them up on E-bay the next day!

Jenn 03-27-2008 06:11 PM

Congrads Jr.! The healing process truly begins here for many...to see the legacy continue is a wonderful thing.

tlapinski 03-27-2008 06:13 PM

Good to see Jr is taking over for dad. Thanks to Mike, Joe, and all who have helped in keeping the Habs plug legacy alive. :kewl:

Pt.JudeJoe 03-27-2008 06:16 PM

As it stands now it's going to be a 2 plug limit at the show. There's just too many people to try to make happy. There will be more down the road.

Slipknot 03-27-2008 06:22 PM

Great news Joe
I'm glad to hear that
While we all miss the man himself, atleast now there is still the possibility his needlefish plugs will still get in the hands of fishermen so they can catch fish :btu:
Congrats to John Jr. and kudos to Mike and you:cheers:
