st croix as4000sw

Just picked one up last weekend. Anybody know were I can pick
up a spare spool? Checked the net came up with nothing.
I emailed st croix 3 days ago ,yet to hear from them.

The only shop that I know that carries the St. Croix reel is North Cove Outfitters in Old Saybrook, CT. Ask for Brian Owens if he's available.
Like yourself, I just picked up a 4500. My understanding is this reel is basically a Daiwa.
Can't wait to put it through a work out.
Not a bad price either.
You can look them up online.

The reel is essentially a Daiwa Capricorn with St. Croix branding.

Thanks for the info guys, pmueller i tried mine last sunday,
Realy sweet, Have it on a 8 foot st croix 1/2 to 2 ounce.
Using 15 pp . Couldnt believe the distance I was getting.
2 ounces will go 110 yards and 1 ounce plug was about 75 yards.
The reel is really braid friendly, 2 hours casting and no wind knot
I didnt get into any fish so cant tell you how the drag is or if the 15
pp will cut into it self. A couple more weeks and will find out.

Good luck out there this year
