i still have some
but not nearly as much as i should
and here's why... we were camping out west on a long cross country trip and i collected a whole huge back pack full of it ok it took me all day walking in the mountain chapparell to find it. i intended to bring it all back east...each piece carefully selected for making sculptures, carvings whatever... i had no intention of burning even a single piece. you look for the right size everything , ya know... so later that evening ....i see this huge blazing fire at our campsite with everyone sitting around it enjoying the amazingly hot fire roasting marshmello's and drinking beers...cooking .... whatever... i go into the tent to get something and i notice the backpack laying there completely empty.... :conf: i went outside and asked my wife....where in the hell is all my sculpture wood with daggers in my eyes and she points to the fire .....right in there! well i was mad enough to commit murder... so mad i could not even speak...then i'm very dangerous!!! and just totally walked away to avoid the carnage and i'm still pissed off just thinkin about it.... to this day... unfreakin believable. and ya know what :point: it gets even better... late that night around 2:30 am we get awakened by our frantic friend as it turns out the winds have picked up and the fire has been spread all over the place and we are about to burn down all of southern california talk about a panic zone situation...running around digging dirt as fast as you can by flashlight ...smothering a fire here another one starts there...oh my god what a nightmare.:hs: |
