does the cold have any effects on graphite rods? its been in the mid 30s here and just wondering.

Fish all winter long and the rod isn't the problem, icing guides is my only problem during cold weather.

mono tends to become stiff in the cold weather. This can cause some difficulties during casting esp on windy nights.
