how many have you heard of (reliably) or witnessed from the surf in new england? so far i know of 12 - 13 on the cape, one in newport, and one on cuttyhunk.

july on the vineyard. it was in the vineyard newspaper.

Thats true, I had one on last night. Made a long cast from Sandy Hook NJ, hit the end of the Quonny breach way with my eel, but the fish broke me off on a rock at Montauk. Was a good fight though. :laughs:
