On-line Credit Card Purchases
 

Is anyone else having problems purchasing on-line from some places? Seems like any purchase I make that requires the three digit code off the back of the card gets a message "AVS Mismatch Address does not match business address". I can't understand how the people at Visa to explain to me how it can get fixed.

The address verification is different from the CVV number on the back. Mail/Telephone transactions are required to prove shipment to the address that the credit card is billed to. Street number and zip code is checked. If it can't be proved shipped there then it's automatically considered a fraudulent transaction and the merchant receives a chargeback.
