Hey from the North River..
Hi folks.
The smell of fish is in the air or on the brain. I fish the South Shore of MA and was a bit disapointed at the size of the fish last year. Lots of them but not alot of BIG fish for me. I fish the North River from a bench in my backyard and don't own or really want a boat to bad. Grab a Mac out of the freezer and be fishing in five minutes. The only thing I am missing is a straw hat and a cane pole..The best part is the fuel cost. I feel for you guys who gotta eat major fuel prices this year. Its just not right. Pick me up at my bench on your way out for spring macs and I will share the fuel cost with you. Maybe we can catch a couple of cod for the grill... See you folks on the water.... |
welcome to the message board.

Sounds like you have a sweet deal but you might need to leave that bench to get some bigguns. i didn't do to well with size in that river last year either.

Hi, hope ya get 'em:btu:

The deer are there but the seals are missing!!!
The dog is barking at two deer standing right on the edge of the river a couple hundred yards from Damon's pt as I type.
They seem to be cornered against the river and a deep cut into the marsh tails up and looking. Maybe a yote but I'm gonna send the dog down anyway. More important than deer is that the float in the river has NO seals and a coming tide like this is just about their favorite. I sure hoped they have headed north cause fishing for me is a drag until they get the heck out of Dodge. I just don't think the Bass and Shad can run the gauntlet where the river narrows at D.P. |
Oops... The seals have not gone anywhere. Contrary to previous reports there are a bunch of them guarding the river.

Planter,
Your not in a rock band, are you?:laughs: Used to fish DP a little when I lived closer. Ya never know who you might see walking their dogs around there... Welcome to SB.com! |
I can hear drums when I fish sometimes and I always have a spare rod if he wants to come down to the marsh.
