Hehehe - let us know if those fish get below 6 inches :bl:

Seriously, what is the smallest you've caught in your neck of the woods?

fishaholic18 04-28-2008 08:50 AM

I've been seeing lots of smaller than usual fish this year which is a good thing for the years to come. I hooked one a few days ago that couldn't have been 10".

Less than 8". Multiple times. on 4" red gills. One attacked a 7" redfin.

Backside of the cape.
Mid-may, 2005

I've never caught sub ~12" or so in SoCo.

Ive caught a few this month below 12", also got my 1st white perch the other day, surprised the hell out of me.

Out of the 6 fish I caught, one was about 22" all the rest were under 12" a few no bigger than 8". Crushed barbs make a quick release that much easier... Can't wait for their big sisters to get here.

Went out Sunday and watched a ball of bait move towards greenwich bay getting crushed by about 20 cormorants or whatever those black diving birds are. While watching I noticed a plane overhead did about 10 passes. The birds cornered them for a while.I got the skunk. Not a jingle on my line yet this year.

FA that is a nice FAT guy all the ones I am getting are good and healthy but not as fat as that. Goose we need to make it a point to fish more this season. All the issues from last year are better now and I hope to be out at least twice a week this year. John up for some schoolie nervana in a week or so? The fish are there as of this am and the tide will be good next week.
