Any last preperations to make?

When will you make your first trip out for consistent keepers?

I'm picking up a new jeep tomorrow. So, I have to get all the bells and whistles that turn it into a fishing machine:
1. rod racks
2. cargo rack with rod launchers
3. new kayak rack
4. tackle storage areas need to be devloped
5. Must find cool fish stickers!

I'm ready to go.....have all that I need....except keepers......been trying that for 3 weeks now......shouldn't be long....hoping this weekend.

Need to order a dry top , tie a couple hundred leaders, get some eels in the tank to get it cycling and im done.

Ready, willing and able!

Been for a few weeks already...:uhuh:

Did someone say it was May???? Yawn!!!! Stetch......rub my eyes. Time to get back to living!

Two weeks from today my hunt for large begins. Might do some salty fly fishing until then.

I AM A SLACKER!! I need to send the VS in for service...probably wont get it back until September :(

gave Rhode Island/Conn border a shot yesterday for schoolies. No luck but sure fun trying.:cheers2:

i hope not... they didn't really show up/start buggin us till mid/late june last year. hopefully we will have another month before they show up. ::crossesfingers::

Froze my backside off last night at a popular early season Cape spot and had a blast. Started out with 10" fish and as it got darker, they got much bigger. Unconfirmed report of a keeper in that spot the night before.
I think I'll still be on track for my first keeper a week from today. If not, I'm going away for a few days and will get one around the 13th of May.
