Tarpon?

My son and I were fishing for schoolies with cocahoes at the West Wall today. I didn't get any stripers but I did land two fish that I need some help identifying. Both were between 15-17 inches, were silvery white and darker along the back with large scales. They had a forked tail and large upturned mouth, no teeth. Both fish actively jumped out of the water when hooked.

Looking on-line they look like a tarpon, but I would be surprised to see them in the cold water. Could it be? Any other thoughts?

Thanks Cheferson....looked on line and that was it.

Not as good a story as a RI baby tarpon but its been a good day catching and learning.

In 1999, I caught a baby WAHOO 2 miles north of the Jamestown Bridge, on a Rebel that was longer than the fish, had it taxidermied, and gave it to my son for Xmas.I hold the IGFA on wahoo in the bay.lol
