Remember when as was alot cheaper than a gallon of milk???? Not any more!!!

It's been going up 2 cents a day for the last few months, it should level out after labor day, or at least I hope it does
|
And I ain't changed yet....still fishing as I have!:bounce:

I read that this recent big jump was because refineries had switched over to "summer" regulation gas, which is more expensive to produce supposedly. That's all well and good, but what about the 15 cents it's gone up since then? Let's hope it will begin to level off as the driving season gets going.
I wonder if this talk of haulting the contribution to the strategic patroleum reserve will help like some say it will. |
Saw $4.80 on the water 2day...WTF
|
boy can't wait too buy that bicycle :ugh:

`"The developing world is driving the increases in oil prices." quote
and Speculators too, damn them to Hell! Same ones who got caught in the real estate mess, now are messing with OIL, and other commodities, which just drives the price of everything UP! period. |
I'm only 27 and I can remember filling up my tank for less than 90 cents a gallon.

I remember when stations had to scramble for new pumps went it went above a buck a gallon. This would be about the late 70s, during the second embargo--Iran hostage era. |
I pumped gas at Duarte's in P-town for 39.9 and 43.9 for premium. That was the Summer of '69 no pun intended.:jester:
|
This whole business of the oil companies turning record profits amongst all this just doens't add up. Then they go in front of congress and say they are victims of the high prices too, oh really? Then they put detergent in the gasoline and charge an extra 15 cents a gallon :rocketem:
|
$3.93 at the Exxon at the Buzzards Bay rotary tonight. $4 by Saturday, guaranteed--right on schedule, as predicted last fall :wall:
|
I paid $4.33 last night for 93.
|
$118.00 to fillup yesterday at Cumbys and it wasn't even 30 gallons :(
Most I ever paid to fill up. 3.68.9/gal. had to swipe the card twice as usual. I'm glad I have shop work all summer long. |
REVOLUTION!!!
The "Go" Signal is 4.00.9/10. :deadhorse:I use this smiley only because there's no elephant getting wacked in the nutz.
|
Its 4.19 by me welcome to New York!!!!!
|
$4.48 here for reg....Diesel is 4.99 and that is at the street. Who knows what the dock price is... Talk is now $6.00/gal this summer. 5 will be a "bargain".
Domestic supply has to increase...when will they learn. Price of crude went up 16% THIS WEEK! World wide demand certainly has not increased that much this week. There is a lot of speculation going on, guys that shorted at 100 and are not covering at 135. IMO it will fall back to 80-100 within 6 months BUT at the CURRENT futures price HOME HEATING OIL will be close to 5 bucks per gallon this fall....people are going to freeze their ass off this winter, you watch. |

Ya well good for him, he's one of the few who could afford it, with the price of gas who else can afford to go. I'm all for conservation, but we need help until altrenative energy fills the breech, not so much to drive, but to keep the economy going and people warm. Never have so few kept so many hostage. :( That goes for the seal population too. |
I took my son to the batting cage/miniature golf today - 1:00 pm on a this beautiful day - place not even half full.
Up the road from me, The 99 Restaurant went under. Look out - we're going to see a freaking huge enema of business failings this summer. |
:exp:I agree with Markey - he questioned why the oil futures prices are being "market driven" when there is no shortage of oil. I am still waiting to see what the energy policy that was written by Cheney contains. If it is favorable to the average citizen, why can't it be released???? :exp:
|
It hasn't even started yet.

Let me guess...he is a democrat. Congressmen forget they are suppose to do what THE PEOPLE WANT...not what THEY WANT. IMO drilling technology can be done pretty darn clean these days. |
The value of the dollar is crap right now. if the dollar was worth what it once was, gas would be hovering around 3 a gallon.
I guarantee you that encouraging higher energy prices was the number one goal of the bush administration. To get to that goal, they did what ever it took... and that included exploiting current events if you get my drift.. |
