Just One Last Cast
 

Wonder how many of you decide on the final cast for the day (or night).

I usually start off by thinking, okay 4-6 six more casts, then if nothing, one last cast for good luck. If I should get a bump or a fish, I'll linger on, until I get to thinking again, about one last cast.

When i was young i had the chance to beach fish with Charlie Ferlitta. When we went in his beach car he would stop on a spot ,we would get out with our eels and he would make five casts.12oclock, 2,4,10,and 8 o'clock. Then he would say I,M READY WHEN YOU ARE and head for the car to try the next spot. Charlie could fish from Truro to Chat ham with his 5 cast method and would only stay if he hit fish

right about when I think last cast I say 20 more then I'm done.I lose track fast in the teens and just keep fishing a while longer.

Sometimes 1 last cast means 1 last cast and sometimes it means 1 more hour.

if I get a hit on that one last cast I am guaranteed to be there for an hour more.
