congrats mike
the hole must have looked like a basketball hoop |
73 is still damn good....18 holes right?:hihi:

Wow! That's impressive! In my experience, you're either a good golfer or a good fisherman. Tough to really put the time in to master both. Unless of course, you golf during the day, and fish at night.:uhuh:

I thought it was a 72?
He ain't lying... I witnessed the whole thing. |
OK so, let me ask since the topic came up. Would you rather get a hole in one or a 50 from the shore? Both are lifetime goals that I have not achieved. I'm not sure which I would like to have more.
I will say that I have witnessed 2 holes in ones in person, one from the green and one with a very good friend from the tee. I've never witnessers a 50 from the shore. If you are not sure which you'd rather have more perhaps you can share your opinion on which one is more difficult to achieve for the average individual? |
Swinging wood for a 73 (on the golf course or surf) is great goal to have.
|
Very good score. I used to be a 10 handicap but just gave it up for some reason 15 years ago. I still watch all the majors every year. I enjoy the game a lot just need to get back out there someday.

I love to golf and I love to fish, but for me it's got to be a 50 from shore. They're both kind of the same though. Both accomplishments require skill, and a lot of luck... Unlike a scratch golfer or a really good fisherman, where they both just require a great deal of skill... |

Mike's got the rare ability of being able to play 5 rounds a year and never lose his swing. Looks the same if he's out every week or once a season. If the putts go in, it's a low 70-sumpthin, if not, a 77-80. Lucky b**tard! He's a scratch fisherman all the time, though. I just inherited all the looks and the personality in the family. :lm: |
"Lucky b**tard!"
Indeed! When I get out a lot my score's in the low hundreds. When I don't, I usually end up tearing up the score card and heading for the club house. :cheers2: Still a lot of fun though. |
