Simms waders
anyone here use the simms rivershed waders?
Ive used the ll bean wicked tough waders for years, but I am tired of the quality issues. |
No, but I did suck it up and get the G3's which I love. I happened across a San Francisco fly fishing shop that had my size at 33% off :bounce:

i've been using a used pair of stocking foot ones i picked up at a yard sale. love them. stylish also.

buy two pair of beans emergers, then when they leak you can send one pair back with no down time. I've never had them leak out of the box but my brother has had the more expensive ones be leakers first try.

The wicked tough waders suck. I went through 3 pairs last season, maybe 2 the year before. I got the g3's this year and love them so far, but it has only been 2 months......

L2
I have the Simms L2 and so far so good. Can't see spend close to 400 for waders. FishHawk.

Had the g3's for three years..pound on them. No leaks
|
I have the G3's in stocking foot and the Rivershed in bootfoot. I like them both, although the Riversheds have had a small leak from day 1 that eventually I'll send back to get corrected. I also find the G3's to be more comfortable because of the shaped knee and side seams. The Riversheds have a peculiar seam on the front of the leg, no abrasion protection on the butt, and no handwarmer pocket on the chest (which I don't use). For rocks definitely go with the G3's in stocking foot, for sand if doing it again I'd just get the L2's with the boot foot option and plan on patching any hook/spine holes that develop.
