Bait this time of year

what is the most prevalent type of bait in cape cod waters right now? Harbors, Cape Cod Bay, the Ocean and the Sound? I see all sorts of bait in the water but can only recognize a few. Someone who is knowledgeable about this sort of thing could make an awesome sticky about bait.
