Don't blame him and Wendy for it tough when they were sitting on a pile of these.

Hey Patrick lets get the fleet out sometime soon for a Mosquito Roundup with a shore lunch over beyond the west bar.

Wished I could have gone but had to go to the airport. Was jealous sitting on the porch this morning drinking my tea looking at the weather. Glad you got some bites.

Must be clear water with lots of moveable sand on the bottom.
Not many places where you can see taller buildings from the water. My guess is Deluxbury :jester: :faga: |

Seriously though, my life is controlled by the irresistable urge to find, follow and catch fish. :as: Do not forget I am an original member of Team Ave Maria, a former mate on both Tuna boats and Party Boats etc etc etc. :sspam: Whether by Boat, by foot, by:lama:or my favorite method since I first drove Wasque over 20 years ago :sled: I must go to the fish. I view boat fishing as a completely separate sport/hobby than shore fishing and both have time in my life. PLUS, the most important thing is that I was not fishing today, nope, absolutely not. Rather, I was spending the day with my honey which means I didn't use up one second of fishing time, a great benefit to having an awesome lady in my life. Yes, Wendy and I have joined the Mosquito fleet but let's take a closer look at the situation. Today was a Saturday in June and it took Wendy and I less than fifteen minutes to travel the 8.5 miles to get from Dock to Driveway and that was at 1pm :kewl: to not take advantage of quality fishing this close to home would be pretty stupid:fishslap: I very much want to thank the friends on ths board who have helped me begin my quest to learn the area from the boat. I have fished it from shore on an off for years. Wendy and I are in for a Mosquito fleet pahty. I got a great little shore lunch set up complete with a well seasoned Dutch Oven that is great for deep frying a fresh caught striper. Karl will atttest to Wendy's culinary delights. Speaking of Travelling Surfcaster, I am off to NC Monday and will spend my time between fighting the Hatteras access fight to chase a Cobia from the shores of the Cape Hatteras National Seashore...I am very excited as I have been trying to get the shore Cobia for a couple years. |

I am away for the next week but will call when I return...It would be great to hook up for a trip. |
I have fished that nieghborhood since 1972. Never changes cept if you think that the fishing is good now you should have been there back then when no one at all fished outside the channel bounds even on the most beautiful of days.
I have vivid memories of looking down in the water and up at the steeple in the trees and thanking God that no one even thought about going in there. I was 17 years old and that place was all mine day or night. Nightime in between trips on the Witch I would rift eels there and have to rush to Victory Fish Market on 132 to unload before getting back to be ready for a day on the boat for the tourists. I have been doing the sbass thing since I was 6 and it still never gets old. |
slow this morning but nary a soul
