BEACHMASTER DANNY

Have been bulding my arsenal lately. I just got two Beachmaster Danny plugs and they come without hooks. What are the proper hooks to put on these beauties. I got one yellow and one white w/ pink stripe. Do you recommend a single hook with bucktail for the rear? I am thinking VMC 3/0 trebles for the body and a single with Bucktail for the rear. If a single hook for the rear is the way to go should I use a split ring to eliminate leverage? What hook for the rear is best? Thanks!

i use a single 3/0 trebble on the belly and 5/0 bucktail swiash on the rear both without splitrings

Original Pichney's carried 2/0 mustads and a 5/0 shortshank oshaugnessy on the tail. I fish medium BM's with old style 3/0 mustads and a flag on the tail. The more recent generations of BM dannys are fatter than the original BM or Pichney's and would probably do fine with two cut 4x 3/0 VMC's or some 6x 2/0's with split rings.

If Large- focused like me... :musc:

Fear not using a cut (NO split!) VMC 4/0 on the front swivel... nothing on the middle swivel... & a 4/0 Siwash (Single) rear hook (I like sparse Bucktail on it)... or a "flag" only fine!

To ME I want only one head- treble (larger than "normal")... vs. two 3/0 trebles most use on "only" a 6" plug like this... for several reasons! :heybaby:

Fear not-- BM plugs are solid as tanks!... & they'll run true with any reasonable hook configuration! :kewl:
