Weighed a certified for the OTW Tourney.

let's see how good you guys are at eyeballing a fish.

BigFish 07-04-2008 10:15 AM

44 pounds 8 ounces?:kewl: Nice fish!

lazzyone 07-04-2008 10:16 AM

33.4 :kewl:LBS

whiplash 07-04-2008 10:21 AM

Not knowing how tall you are I would still say close to a 50

piemma 07-04-2008 10:29 AM

One of you guys is pretty close.

Sea Dangles 07-04-2008 10:31 AM

Nice fish Paul.
Lots of reports of large NEW fish heading into RI waters soon. This is good news for those anglers targeting the big girls.
Happy Independence Day, especially to those who served.

piemma 07-04-2008 10:36 AM

Squid kids Dad 07-04-2008 11:08 AM

Nice fish...48.25

capecodkid 07-04-2008 11:12 AM

45.75

ThrowingTimber 07-04-2008 11:13 AM

Beautiful fish paul.

piemma 07-04-2008 11:14 AM

OK, times up.
I am just a skosh under 5' 10". I weigh 202.

The fish weighed, on 3 different scales, one cerified, all digital.

31 and 1/2 pounds.

It takes a really BIG fish to make 40.

It was a nice fish and a great fight but 31lbs 6 oz is the weight.

piemma 07-04-2008 11:18 AM

BTW, thanks for all the guesses and congrats. I thought this would be a fun and informative thread.

NIB 07-04-2008 11:26 AM

35 lbs..

Backbeach Jake 07-04-2008 11:33 AM

With that belly I would have guessed a lot more, 40# anyway. Still, a wicked nice fish.

afterhours 07-04-2008 11:35 AM

43 lb nice fish!

stripersnipr 07-04-2008 11:36 AM

Very nice..........looks like she's been chowing down hard. What's that belly stuffed with?

Swimmer 07-04-2008 11:56 AM

It is a great fish Piemma! Good for you.

nice fish

fishaholic18 07-04-2008 08:10 PM

Nice fatty Paul.:btu:

fishbones 07-04-2008 09:20 PM

Very nice fish! From the profile, I would have guessed an honest 40. Your post goes to show that without weighing their fish, a lot of guys are proably a bit off when claiming they take 30 and 40# fish.

I couldn't agree with you more.

Nice one Paul, I would have guessed in the 40's.
