Brickyard...what a joke

Once again Nascar along with Goodyear has managed to ruin a race that should've under any other circumstances been an awesome spectacle.

Before that race Nascar should've mandated a hell of a lot more testing on the Indy tires but in their infinite wisdom decided to throw the oldie but goodie "competition caution" every 10 friggin laps to check tire wear.

After all these years you would think Goodyear would actually know to build a race tire. And you would also think they'd do the math and bring enough tires.

Its Indy for christ's sake. You really would think they'd get it right.

Maybe its time to bring back Hoosier and let Firestone enter a tire too.A little competition would surely make for better tires. And for that matter let the teams choose which they want to use. When Hoosier was allowed to enter a tire quite a few years back we watched some of the best racing ever.

Maybe I should post this in the grumpage forum that's how pissed I am.

Amazingly bad judgement, between both organizations.
Totally ruined the race and the outcome.

Maybe the should tire test there?

Terrible, Terrible.

and NASCAR definately gave the commentators / analysts on the Speed and ESPN coverage instructions to tow the company line. None of them would say a bad thing about NASCAR or Goodyear. Jimmy Spencer (who I always loved for telling it like it was) just gushed about how great GY is and how we don't need "that tire company from Indiana". Pathetic race. Stuff like this is why NASCAR's popularity is going down.

They really need to bring in other tire companies.

The Brickyard is one race I really look forward to.What a major let down.

It's been a month since a tuned in for a race. This race made me want to tune out for another month. I was surprised drivers weren't more negative towards goodyear.
