fishing rookie "plain old mackerel" is just what I'm looking for to live line for some big stripers. i haven't tried for them since august out at b-bouy. thanks for the information.

Mr Kav, Baitcaster and I are heading out in the Harbor in the morning for the day, with the exact same intentions, we will let ya know how it goes. I agree with all this food chain around, markerel, smelt, ect. There have to be some cows a lurkin.

fisherwoman I wish you guys luck and I will be interested in hearing how productive it was. I am a big fan of live bait and there is nothing better than natural habitat live bait to tempt those cows. good luck !! By the way watch out for the seals i went out for a cocktail cruise on saturday and saw two or three seals. don't let them take that precious bait.

Mr. Kav, I will let ya know how it goes, I really think there are still some fish around, and I agree that live lining the macs is the way to go, that or perhaps eels, but the eels are hard to come by right now, and I know that the macs worked well this spring, so time will tell. Cross your fingers, we will be out the whole day, so won't be posting till late tomorrow eve.

Hi Fisherwoman. I was just invited to go out on a friend's boat tomorrow, but of course it's a work day. All of a sudden I'm starting to feel like I'm coming down with the flu. We, I mean he, will be looking for cod. I suspect if there is any evidence of stripers, that would take priority. I believe he'll be launching out of Green Harbor.

Hey Martyk, I think you are in store of a great fishing flu day, some times you just got to do what you got to do, its going to be a long winter. If you go out try and reach us on the radio if he has one, the name of our boat is the Alternative, we are usually on channel 69. If we don't talk to each other good luck out there, and I hope you get into some of those stripers that are still lurking around, if not good luck with the cod as there are some decent numbers around.

How did you guys do in the Harbor....did you make it out to the B-Bouy? Plenty of macs around, I would love to hear that you got into some stripers!!!! How was the cod fishing? Did you try for flounder?
