7 tuna east

Took 7 tuna the other day out east. Great bite and plenty of action. Knucklehead with me let one of the rods go overboard along with a camera. Dope. Live and learn. FYI- dont EVER, EVER unleash a rod and rest it on the gunnel. Expensive day on the water for sure and made for one pissed off KR to say the least.

oh man. that sucks big time. that's my biggest fear on someone elses boat.

nice job on the bite though.!

My guess is it was NOT a 35 year old Penn Senator 6/0 on a fiberglass blank with wooden grips....:crying:

That absolutely sucks.Glad at least you got into the fish.We hit the Mudhole and went 1for 2 on bft around 30 lbs. We've gotta visit your neighborhood.

Sorry about the rod and reel. What happened to the camera?

keeperreaper 08-11-2008 03:48 PM

That is on the bottom also. He had no explanation and that is when the trip ended................

Insurance claim? or pay the Keeper

sokinwet 08-11-2008 05:50 PM

Just a thought KR; I lost a Penn International baitcaster and Fenwick over the side a couple of years back when banging around in my old alum. boat while being towed in by the CG. :1poke: Not a good day! I had purchased it with a visa platinum card that had "purchase insurance" Paid in full! Check the fine print on your CC info!!

Don't you normally have leashes like 8' long?

keeperreaper 08-11-2008 06:51 PM

Yep and it was leashed. He unleasehed it to move it.:smash:

striperman36 08-11-2008 07:37 PM

I am really happy I wasn't on the KR cruise that day.
I really don't like moving other peoples rods although I have had more than enough of my own go overboard

Don't you just hate that "deer in the headlights" look. Sorry about the lost tackle and camera. Was this a sport or a guest?

I lost a cannon electric downrigger over the side at middle ground 3 years ago. Noone to blame but myself. Only thing I could grab was the power cord which I was able to keep as a souvenir when it snapped off.

I would then just throw myself overboard and drown.

Just think of all the nudes of you laying on your squid bars that have been lost.
