Was it a brand new clip or had you used the same one through various outings?

Now I have broken 20# Fireline at the Palomar that ties it to the 75# swivel tied with 60# orvis mirage to a spinlink on a jig when I snagged it. What did you have it tied to?
sorry about the run on and on sentence

ruhroh 08-13-2008 04:57 PM

Was it a real breakaway? I've heard there are some not so good knock-offs out there. Sorry for your loss.

Definitely a real breakaway.

JohnnyD 08-14-2008 12:57 AM

I'd guess either a bad batch of steel. No way an 80lber should bend like that.

gone fishin 08-14-2008 09:07 PM

It looks like the plug or lure ran up on the clip or the fish did a good number on it by twisting it. The only other I saw twisted like that one was used backwards. Bummer..:crying:

BassDawg 08-15-2008 09:28 PM

CLEARLY,

it wasn't used bassackwards,

and that was ONE big momma to do that kinda
sheer on a clip of that load capacity,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

sorry for yer loss, me bruddah!!

if i know you, though, you'll land her sister just in time
for the tourney............since we ARE posing questions ~~

just what did you have attached to the end of the clip, Dan tha Man??

Nebe 08-15-2008 09:39 PM
