Need some T&Ps
 

Since last tuesday night my dad (redcrbbr) hasn't been feeling too good, the doc did blood work on him, and put him on antibiotics for shingles. Today the tests came back turns out that its a mix of Acute Lyme, Shingles, and then something else which I'm not sure of. The right side of his head and face are all swollen and he said it was really painful/sensitive to touch. So as of 3pm today, he's in the hospital getting checked out by the Infectious Disease docs, maybe they can figure out whats going on with him. We're hoping for everything to get better.

Katie - thoughts and prayers for the the family. Red - get your ass back in good shape :musc: ! You've gone through tougher times than this so I'm sure some Positive 'Tude will work wonders for you (that and the medicine, may a former Russian Nurse inject you into one of the buttock cheeks).

I will definatly send some positive energy his way Katie. Sorry to hear he is not well. Those shingles can be very painful :(

Thanks guys, and he also says thanks so much! Well we just talked to him on the phone about 30 minutes ago, and they sent him in for a cat scan, so were waiting on those results.

Katie - the picture looks like he has erysipelas, which is a superficial strep infection that usually responds well to antibiotics. If so, that is way better than Lyme or Zoster (shingles). Best wishes to him either way.
